One coat left!

Floors have been stained and are nearly done. One more coat of poly going on today and we get to finally stay at the house tonight. Should have some nice fumes for us to enjoy overnight. 🙂

We’ll be able to move our furniture up from the basement and into the living and dining rooms tonight. But we’re likely to spend most of the night cleaning, mopping and dusting tonight. The place is so full of dust it’s just ridiculous. I’m probably going to pick up an air purifier on my way home from work today and run it for the next 6 months.

  Hey Jenia, I've been enjoying watching the (neverending???) kitchen project. Especially the kopek floors! We used a guy named Neftali Florian on the floors. He was good, much cheaper than all of the big floor companies I called, and did pretty great work. There were a few places they left sanding circles in the floor from the machine, and I was too new to all of this to carefully inspect everything in those crazy days when we were working frantically to get moved in. But always great on price and willing to do the job right.

  There's also a guy I might've gone with instead (a little cheaper) if I hadn't already promised the job to Neftali. Melvin is a guy who regularly worked with our contractor and gave me a price lower than Neftali. I haven't used him, but a few folks I know have. I only have a phone number for him.
