We bought a 1921 rowhouse on a picturesque street in Washington D.C.'s Petworth neighborhood in Oct. 2010. This chronicles the process of remodeling and repairs over the ensuing weeks, months and years. Pros are handling some major pre-move projects, but other than that, we're on our own to make this house what we want it to be. I'm decently handy, but I've never attempted anything on the scale we're going for here. We've got some tools, some books to guide us and the miracle of the internet — how did anyone learn before the internet? — but the question remains: Will we find our inner Bob Vila and make This Old Rowhouse our New Old Rowhouse?
